My solo show, Transitional, at David B. Smith Gallery in Denver is entering its final week, so if you have not yet had a chance to stop in to see the exhibition, there’s no time like the present. The gallery will be open this week, Tuesday- Saturday, from 12 to 6 pm. The show officially closes on Saturday, April 12th, but the work will remain up in the gallery through the 19th, and David is happy to admit visitors by appointment after the 12th.
I’m excited to share some of the local and national press coverage that the exhibition has recently received.
Denver Post art critic Ray Rinaldi wrote this review for today’s paper:
Artists Sarah McKenzie, Mark Dean Veca have the un-time of their lives
Juxtapoz Magazine posted this overview of the show (with images of all ten paintings!) on March 20th:

And the New American Paintings blog gave a nice mention to the exhibition in their national list of must-see painting shows for the month of April:
Must See Painting Shows: April
Lastly, the exhibition catalogue, with a forward by MCA Denver Associate Curator Nora Abrams, an essay by Chicago arts writer Kyle Macmillan, and closing text by acclaimed artist Kim Dickey, is now available for purchase through the gallery web site:
